・Experience traditional Japanese archery rooted in samurai culture ・Beginner-friendly Kyudo instruction at an authentic dojo ・Stay in the peaceful, nature-rich Zao area ・Relax at a hot spring accommodation surrounded by nature ・Small-group program for a calm and immersive experience
This overnight program offers a hands-on experience of Kyudo, one of Japan’s traditional martial arts, combined with a peaceful stay in the Zao area. Kyudo, known as “the Way of the Bow,” focuses on posture, etiquette, breathing, and mental focus rather than competition. During the dojo session, participants learn the basic movements and mindset of Kyudo, making it suitable even for first-time visitors. Zao is a quiet, nature-rich region surrounded by mountains and fresh air. Away from busy cities, the calm atmosphere allows guests to fully appreciate the subtle movements and concentration required in Kyudo. Guests stay overnight at a hot spring accommodation surrounded by nature. After the experience, soaking in a natural onsen provides time to relax both body and mind. This small-group program is ideal for travelers seeking a deeper cultural experience beyond sightseeing.
